Hello, I'm Lauren.
Teaching has always been about helping children believe in themselves as much as helping them learn.
Over the past 10 years, I've had the privilege of working with children and young people across both primary and secondary education. I established, led and developed a successful in-house Alternative Provision within a secondary school in South Wales, leading a team of 10 staff to deliver personalised, inclusive support for learners with a wide range of needs.
During the school's most recent Estyn inspection, the provision was recognised as a Spotlight Practice, highlighting the positive impact of our work. Together, we helped children and young people build confidence alongside academic success through relationship-led, individualised learning.
Throughout my career, I've learned that meaningful learning only happens when children feel confident, heard and understood. When a child feels safe enough to ask questions, make mistakes and believe in themselves, that's when real progress begins.
